Dakota on F.R.I.E.N.D.S??
There is a rumor on Kristen's column on E! Online that Dakota may be guest starring on NBC's Friends this season. Read about it here:
MILD SPOILER ALERT! I'm told that the set peeps have been designing a house for an upcoming episode. It seems that Monica and Chandler may be moving away, especially since they labeled it the "Bing Household." (They don't call me whip smart for nothin'.) And one source near set tells me that there's talk about Dakota Fanning guest-starring. Word is she might play a little girl Monica and Chandler encounter in the house they look at.
Lets hope this is true and that Dakota will really be on Friends!

The Cat In The Hat Sequel?
Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat producer Brian Grazer told Sci Fi Wire that he intends to make a sequel to the Bo Welch-directed adaptation starring Mike Myers, Alec Baldwin, Kelly Preston, Dakota Fanning, Spencer Breslin, Amy Hill and Sean Hayes. The Cat in the Hat Comes Back, also from Dr. Seuss, features the mischievous cat returning on a snowy day when there is work to be done.Grazer added that members of the cast of the first film are signed to reprise their roles. "Cat in the Hat" hits theaters on November 21.

Oprah: There are so many scenes you do with special effects and your facial expressions...you do that so well.
Dakota: Thank you. One of my favorite things to do is pretend—that's why I love acting so much. So, I just pretend that it's there!
Oprah: I thought you [and Dakota] seemed like real brother and sister.
Spencer: It felt like that sometimes. We had a really great time...and she kept me in line if I started to get out of control. I've read this story all my life, so it was a really big deal to me.

Dakota Fanning (Uptown Girls) has landed the lead role in Hide and Seek for director John Polson at 20th Century Fox. She will star as Emily, the daughter of Robert De Niro's character who is torn up over the suicide of her mother. Emily begins to deal with her mom's death through an imaginary friend, which winds up taking an unexpected and terrifying turn. The script was written by Ari Schlossberg. Fanning can next be seen with Denzel Washington in Man on Fire from Fox.

Filming Man On Fire
Gunfire rocked a normally tranquil park in an upscale Mexico City neighborhood Sunday as Denzel Washington and a stunt double filmed a kidnapping scene for an upcoming film. The star, who won a best-actor Oscar for "Training Day," has been in the Mexican capital for three weeks shooting "Man On Fire," which also stars Christopher Walken and Dakota Fanning, the child star of "I Am Sam." Crews were planning to film in the sprawling metropolis for three months and had already shot some scenes in the city's historic downtown area.

Elle Fanning has been added to the cast of Focus Features' "The Door in the Floor" for director Tod Williams. She will play Ruth, the daughter of Kim Basinger's and Jeff Bridges' characters. The actress, represented by Cindy Osbrink of the Osbrink Talent Agency and manager Booh Schut, next appears in the upcoming Revolution Studios feature "Daddy Day Care." Fanning, the younger sister of actress Dakota Fanning, has had a co-starring role on CBS' "Judging Amy" and appeared with her sister in the miniseries "Taken" and the feature film "I Am Sam."

The title has changed from 'Molly Gunn' to 'Uptown Girls'.Molly Gunn (Murphy) is the freewheeling daughter of a late rock legend, and the toast of the Manhattan social scene. But when her inheritance is stolen, Molly is forced to do something she's never done before - get a job, Molly becomes a nanny to precocious Ray Schleine (Fanning), an "eight-year-old going on forty." Man On Fire is about American ex-soldier (Washington) who reluctantly agrees to protect a child (Fanning) when her parents are kidknapped.Tony Scott (Top Gun/True Romance) directs the movie based on AJ Quinnell's novel.

TAKEN has been nominated in the TV movie and miniseries category (against LIVE FROM BAGHDAD, PATH TO WAR, MASTER SPY: THE ROBERT HANSSEN STORY, and MARTIN AND LEWIS). The seventh annual ADG awards will be held on February 22 at the Beverly Hilton.

Well, I want to let everyone knows that "Sweet Home Alabama" DVD/VHS is already out. Also, news about Taken DVD,take a look:"According to a very reliable source, DreamWorks is planning on releasing 'Taken Mini-Series' on DVD this Spring. My prediction was that Taken may follow the footsteps of Spielberg's last mini-series Band of Brothers with a potential DVD date of Fall 2003. No specific date and features have been announced as of yet but I will keep you folks informed."

Dakota at 7th Annual Golden Satellite Awards:
LOS ANGELES- Eight-year-old Dakota Fanning, who won an award last year for her role in "I am Sam" accepted the best miniseries award for the Sci-Fi Channel's "Taken." Accepting with co-star Julie Benz, Dakota charmed the 200 actors and journalists in the audience by saying, "I want to thank executive producer Steven Spielberg for picking me, every day I want to thank him." She'll next be seen in the big screen version of "The Cat in the Hat."

Dakota New Year's Resolution
Little Dakota Fanning isn't old enough to have developed any vices. But, she said she has some resolutions anyway. "This is kind of always my resolution, just to be nice to everybody," she said. "And just do the best that you can on your acting. Just be the nicest person you can be."
