FANNING JOINS RUSSEL IN HORSE DRAMA

Dakota Fanning ("Man on Fire") has agreed to star opposite Kurt Russell and Kris Kristofferson in "Dreamer," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film was originally based on a true story in which a Kentucky horse trainer (Russell) and his 11-year-old son rescued an injured horse, nursed it back to health and took it to race in the Breeders' Cup.
The story has been rewritten, with Fanning playing the role of the youngster. Kristofferson will play the father of Russell's character.
John Gatins ("Varsity Blues") will direct the movie, which is scheduled to begin filming next month.
Fanning will be seen next in the thriller "Hide and Seek" opposite Robert De Niro.
