DAKOTA FANNING CHALLENGES CO-STARS

Young actress DAKOTA FANNING stunned her WAR OF THE WORLDS co-stars with her natural ability - and forced them to raise their own standards.
The 11-year-old, who stars alongside TOM CRUISE in STEVEN SPIELBERG's adaptation of HG WELLS' classic sci-fi story, left screenwriter DAVID KOEPP deeply impressed by her talent - and he enjoyed watching Fanning's co-stars trying to match her.
He tells the New York Daily News, "Her relationship with acting is so direct and simple. In rehearsals, other actors get sort of stunned, and you can see them thinking, 'Okay, hold on, I can match this 11-year-old.'"
